Audio and Video Translation

Audio and Video Translation turns video or audio content into a target-language version. You can upload video or audio files, or fill in a link to create a project. The system generates original subtitles and target-language subtitles, and can create target-language dubbing based on your settings.

Use cases

• Video localization: translate a video from Chinese into another language, or from another language into Chinese.
• Podcast and interview translation: turn audio content into target-language subtitles or dubbing.
• Course and knowledge content localization: generate subtitles, translations, and dubbing for republishing.
• Use one tool when you do not need separate video and audio entry points.
• If you only need subtitle localization, turn off dubbing and generate subtitle and transcript results only.

Steps

1. Open Audio and Video Translation.
2. Upload a video, upload an audio file, or fill in a link.
3. Set the original language and one or more target languages.
4. Choose whether to generate dubbing.
5. If dubbing is selected, set background audio as needed. Emotion matching is applied by default.
6. Review the estimated credit cost and submit the project.
7. Wait for system processing to complete.
8. Open the editor to review subtitles, translations, styles, and dubbing.
9. Export video, subtitles, audio, or transcript results based on the input type.

Supported files

Video formats: MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV.

Audio formats: mp3, wav, flac, m4a.

File limits: Free users can upload files up to 200 MB / 10 minutes. Subscribed users can upload files up to 500 MB / 60 minutes.

Processing

Audio and Video Translation performs language recognition, speech recognition, original subtitle generation, and subtitle translation. Dubbing is optional.

If you do not choose dubbing, the system will not create translated dubbing. For video input, the project keeps the original video, separated vocals, background audio, original subtitles, and target-language subtitles. For audio input, the project generates at least the target-language subtitle file.

If you select multiple target languages at once, the system creates corresponding language versions. After completion, you can view and process the results in the project list or editor.

Dubbing options

You can choose:

Preset voices can include Voxsail standard voices and your completed cloned voices.

Subtitles remain downloadable after dubbing is enabled. Dubbing does not replace subtitle deliverables.

• No dubbing.
• Use a preset voice.
• Original voice cloning: match the original video or audio voice.

Emotion matching and background audio

Emotion matching applies to projects with original audio, such as Audio and Video Translation. When dubbing is generated, the system uses the speech emotion, tone, and expression intensity in the original audio by default, so the target-language dubbing is closer to the expression of the original content.

Background audio settings control whether to keep the background audio after vocal separation. Keeping background audio can make the result closer to the original material; removing it can make the target-language dubbing cleaner.

Export results

Available export items depend on the export panel. Common results include:

SRT and ASS subtitles support original subtitles, translated subtitles, and bilingual subtitles. Transcripts support original subtitles and translated subtitles.

• Original subtitles.

• Transcript.
• Dubbing audio.
• Synthesized video or synthesized audio.

Notes

• You must select or confirm the target language before submission.
• The original language and target language cannot be the same.
• Clearer original video or audio usually improves recognition and dubbing results.
• Projects cannot be manually canceled or paused while processing.
