FAQ

Has processing started after upload completes?

No. After upload completes, the project enters the setup stage. The system starts processing only after you finish language, dubbing, and other settings and submit the project.

Can Audio and Video Translation use a link?

Yes. Audio and Video Translation supports uploading video files, uploading audio files, and filling in a link to create a project.

If the original language is set to auto-detect, do I still need to select a target language?

Yes. Auto-detect identifies the original language of the uploaded content. The target language determines the translation and dubbing output direction, so it must be selected or confirmed.

Can I select multiple target languages at once?

Yes. Audio and Video Translation supports selecting multiple target languages at once. The system creates corresponding language versions.

Can the original language and target language be the same?

No. If the original language and target language are the same, the system cannot generate a cross-language translation result. Choose a different target language.

What file formats does Voxsail support?

Audio and Video Translation and Subtitle Transcription support video or audio uploads. Video formats: MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV. Audio formats: mp3, wav, flac, m4a. Text Voiceover supports direct text entry and uploaded TXT, PDF, SRT, and other documents that can be parsed into voiceover copy. Voice Cloning also supports video or audio materials, but the material must meet the duration and size requirements shown on the Voice Cloning page.

Are upload limits the same for free and subscribed users?

No. Free users can upload video or audio files up to 200 MB and 10 minutes. Subscribed users can upload video or audio files up to 500 MB and 60 minutes.

Can I upload multiple files at once?

Free users can upload only one file at a time. Subscribed users support batch upload. The exact number and limits are shown on the page. When multiple files are uploaded at once, the system applies the same processing settings to those files. If different settings are needed, upload and submit them in separate batches.

Does Audio and Video Translation always generate dubbing?

No. Dubbing is optional in Audio and Video Translation. You can choose no dubbing, a preset voice, or original voice cloning. Original voice cloning matches the original video or audio voice. If dubbing is not selected, the system does not generate target-language dubbing audio. Subtitles and transcripts can still be generated and downloaded.

Does Audio and Video Translation support emotion matching and background audio settings?

Yes. Emotion matching applies to projects with original audio, such as Audio and Video Translation. It is applied by default when dubbing is generated and can make target-language dubbing closer to the expression of the original content. Background audio settings control whether to keep the background audio after vocal separation. Keeping background audio can make the result closer to the original material; removing it can make target-language dubbing cleaner.

What subtitle formats are supported for export?

Subtitles support SRT, ASS, and transcripts. SRT and ASS support original subtitles, translated subtitles, and bilingual subtitles. Whether translated or bilingual subtitles are shown depends on whether the project has generated corresponding translation results.

Can Text Voiceover be submitted without choosing a voice?

No. Text Voiceover is used to generate voiceover audio, so you must select or confirm an available voice before submission.

Can I redub a single line?

Yes. The editor supports single-line redubbing. It is suitable for fixing the pronunciation, translation, pacing, or voice effect of specific subtitles.

Why are some cloned voices unavailable?

Common reasons include: Only completed and available cloned voices can be selected as preset voices. The voice is still processing. Voice processing failed. The voice has been deleted. The voice does not support the current language. The current plan does not support the voice.

What makes a good voice cloning sample?

Use a single-speaker, clear, natural voice sample when possible. Avoid obvious background music, noise, overlapping speakers, heavy reverb, compression distortion, or unstable volume.

What should I do if a project stays Processing?

Processing can include post-upload processing, transcoding, vocal separation, speech recognition, subtitle translation, dubbing synthesis, final video export, or queue waiting. Refreshing the page does not interrupt a submitted task. If the status does not change for a long time, check whether an error prompt appears. When contacting support, provide the project name, creation time, material duration, target language, and page error prompt.

What should I do if project processing fails?

After failure, the project shows Error status and a failure reason. You can manually retry the failed project. Retry does not deduct credits again. If the project is not retried for a long time, expires, or is deleted, related credits are handled and returned according to platform rules.

Can I cancel or pause a processing project?

No. Projects that are queued or being processed cannot be manually canceled, paused, or resumed.

What is the difference between export and download?

Export generates a new result file based on the current subtitles, audio, styles, and other editor content. Download retrieves already generated final videos, audio, subtitles, transcripts, or other deliverables.

What should I do if download fails?

First confirm whether the project is complete, whether the corresponding result has been exported, and whether the project is still valid. If the browser does not respond, check whether pop-ups or multiple file downloads are blocked. You can also switch to a stable network and try again.

Can I edit or download after a project expires?

No. After expiration, the project becomes an expired project. Expired projects cannot be edited, exported, or downloaded. They can only be deleted or cleared in one action.

Does buying credits increase storage space?

No. Credits and storage space are different benefits. Buying credits does not increase storage space. Storage space depends on the current plan benefits.

What is the difference between plan credits, purchased credits, and bonus credits?

Plan credits come from subscription plans and are valid in the current subscription period. Purchased credits come from credit packs bought while a subscription is active and follow the current subscription period. Bonus credits come from platform campaigns or gifts and follow their own expiry. When credits are deducted, bonus credits are used first, then plan credits, then purchased credits.

What is the difference between a subscription and a credit package?

Subscription plans provide member benefits, upload limits, concurrency, cloned voice limits, periodic credits, and other benefits. Credit packages add to the plan credit pool and require an active subscription. They do not unlock subscription benefits by themselves and do not increase storage space. If the subscription lapses, remaining credit-pack credits expire and are not restored by subscribing again later.

How do subscription upgrades work?

Voxsail subscription plans include Lite, Pro, and Max. You cannot repurchase the same plan while it is still active. You can upgrade from a lower plan to a higher plan, such as from Lite to Pro or Max. During upgrade, only the remaining subscription credits from the current subscription period can be used as an offset toward the new plan. Purchased credits and gift credits are not used for the offset and are not cleared. After the upgrade payment succeeds, the new plan takes effect immediately and starts a new 30-day period from the payment time. The new plan grants its full subscription credits. Downgrading from a higher plan is not available through self-service handling. After the current subscription cycle ends, you can choose from the available plans on the page.

Where can I view plan and credit pricing?

Specific plans, credit package tiers, bonus credit rules, feature pricing, and plan benefits are shown on the pricing page: https://www.voxsail.com/zh/pricing
